Thomas is content to just stay there for a while, cuddling Saoise with Greta. But when he realizes that the little girl is starting to fall asleep, he gently picks her up to carry her upstairs. It's the usual routine: making sure she's changed for bed, teeth-brushing, a story or two while she's tucked in.

He leans to press a kiss to Saoirse's forehead as he gets up. "Sleep well, darling. We'll see you in the morning."

He moves back so that Greta an have her proper turn and waits for her by the door. Thomas turns out the light and his hand finds Greta's on the short walk to their bedroom.

"Rather an eventful night."
