"Thank you." Thomas's voice remained soft, but now he just sounded a bit weary instead of full of trepidation. Once they made it to the couch, he settled and watched as she joined him. "Thank you for hearing me out."
And for her-- well, maybe not forgiveness. He had done nothing, save perhaps omit details of his life, to hurt her. But she had given him something, and Thomas was deeply grateful for that.
