Thomas is getting better, at least, at smoothly and politely ending phone conversations. Really he just wants to be on his way. He does take a cab to Edith's building - the day is getting warmer and he doesn't mind walking the shorter distance to his surprise, but all the way from his apartment? Perhaps not.
He's standing on the sidewalk when Edith appears, and as soon as he sees her a smile lights his face.
"I feel like I should apologize for dragging you out in this heat," he says with a rather modest blush; or it could just be from the sun. He's always been... quite pale. Darrow seems to be trying its damnedest to make him tan. Or burn.
